DUBAI

There are plenty of things to see and do, in and around Dubai. You can choose from activities as widely ranged as Desert Safaris, Quad-biking and Camel Riding, to lazing on a private beach, taking a helicopter joy flight, or skiing at the world's largest indoor ski slopes. Your options are only as limited as your imagination in Dubai.

Dubai Do's & Don'ts:

As Dubai is very multicultural, it is sometimes easy to forget that it was born from a conservative nation. Please read through the following suggestions to avoid any unpleasant situations and to help you to enjoy your stay in Dubai.

  • Please dress appropriately to avoid offending the local nationals. This is as simple as wearing a t-shirt and jeans or knee-length skirt to cover up. Ladies: Refrain from wearing swimming costumes (bikinis etc.) in the shopping malls or in public areas. Gentlemen: Please ensure you are dressed in neat attire.
  • Female visitors are not expected, nor asked, to dress in an abbaya. However, at night the air can become quite cool and adding a pashmina shawl to your night attire is a great way to enjoy the outside atmosphere & keep warm and comfortable at the same time. Pashminas are widely available in all shopping malls and souks throughout Dubai.
  • Taking photography of national ladies in abbayas is not allowed, unless you first obtain permission from the subject in your photograph.
